There is no border line between the external and internal worlds in meditation, no external, no internal. If you see things as perturbed in the external world, those things will be included in your calmness, free from judgement or discrimination. Calmness doesn’t mean simply a state of stillness. In very fast activity there will be calmness, too. Calmness is a more psychological term, and wisdom is more ontological, so wisdom is here used as a very religious term, also meaning compassion. Nondiscrimination is a form of compassion. When we point to something and start to relate to it without love, we cannot understand it.
